ABPM
What is ABPM?
Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) is a diagnostic test used to detect hypertension by continuously measuring blood pressure over an extended period—24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, or up to 7 days. It provides a comprehensive understanding of blood pressure patterns during daily activities and sleep, helping in both diagnosis and monitoring of hypertension.
Advantages of WEB CARDIO
We aim to provide the best home care services with reliable and clinically validated medical devices. Our goal is to ensure accurate monitoring and effective hypertension management for better health outcomes.
A small, portable blood pressure monitor is attached to the non-dominant arm.
The device inflates at set intervals (every 5 to 120 minutes during waking hours and every 60 to 120 minutes during sleep).
The ABPM device records pulse rate, physical activity levels, and blood pressure measurements along with corresponding timestamps.
Users continue their daily routine while the device monitors their blood pressure.
After the monitoring period (24 hours to 7 days), the device is returned to the provider.
The recorded data is downloaded and processed using specialized software.
ABPM helps uncover nocturnal hypertension and detects white coat/masked hypertension, ensuring an accurate diagnosis.
A healthcare provider reviews the ABPM report to assess blood pressure patterns and recommend appropriate treatments or lifestyle modifications.
